On St. John
It is important to know that we drive on the left side of the road. After the US purchased the Virgin Islands from Denmark in 1917, our traffic habits remained the same. Please note, our steering wheels are positioned on the left. Many of our roads are winding, single lane, old donkey trails, so take it slow and enjoy your vacation. Adjusting may require some concentration in the first mile or so.
A valid US license is required. If you’re visiting from outside of the US, International Drivers are required to purchase an International Driver’s Permit for $30, which is valid up to 30 days. You can obtain an International Driving Permit from us. All Renters must be 25 years of age or older. Please wear your seat belt at all times. Children under the age of 5 must be placed in a car seat, in the back seat.
A fully inflated spare tire and jack can be found in your Rental. But you’re on vacation! Courtesy Car/Jeep Rental can provide roadside assistance during business hours and reasonable hours outside of regular business hours. This includes the replacement of lost keys, lockout service, jump starts, and flat tire service. If Rental keys are lost, stolen, or wet (applies to transponder keys), Renter is responsible for the cost of a replacement key. If a tire is damaged beyond repair due to the Renter’s negligence, the Renter will be responsible for the cost of the tire. An After-Hours Number will be provided at the time of pick-up. Based on circumstance and/or distance, additional charges may apply.
Return time is 10am. We offer a complimentary shuttle back to the ferry terminal or nearby hotels and vacation homes.
